Spain

Spain, officially the Kingdom of Spain, is part of the Iberian Peninsula and is often paired with Portugal. Spain can stand alone in the world of discovery in terms of landscapes, history, and unique cultures. Only three countries, France and Morocco and Spain have Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines; making it a fabulous holiday choice. San Sebastian is one of the best surfing spots and host to dozens of local, national, and international championships.

Moving east is Costa Brava, nicely positioned between Barcelona and the French border with a rugged coastline, excellent beaches, and delightful climate. From Costa Brava travel south to Barcelona, the dynamic capital of Catalonia with its own language and interesting culture. Barcelona has it all—some of the world’s nicest harbors, unreal buildings, great plazas, food – food – food, and home to great artists. A trip to Spain without a visit to Barcelona would be a tragedy. Each of the many coastal regions has its own uniqueness: Costa Dorada, del Azahar, Bianca, Calida, de Almeria, Tropical, de la Luz, and the most popular of all is Costa del Sol. This region, also known as Andalusia, is a string of small fishing villages and a diverse landscape of beaches, cliffs, bays, dunes, and estuaries.
