Paris

Imagine strolling the Champs Elysees, climbing Notre Dame, making macarons, sipping French wine, or cruising the Seine. Continue the week with discovering the Palace of Versailles, crossing the Pont des Arts, and admiring the Bridge of Locks before heading over to the Louvre, being photographed at the Eiffel Tower, and meeting Monet, Mona Lisa, and Rodin all in a week. As one of Paris’ lesser-known museums, Rodin is also one of the most romantic.

Don’t forget to visit Palais Garnier, the Arc de Triomphe with its monument to the Unknown Soldiers, explore the artistic neighborhood of Montmartre and stop in Sacre-Coeur Basilica for the architecture and history. If time allows, delight in the Escape Dali Exhibition, housing over 300 sculptures and a complete collection of rare, hand-signed etchings, the George Pompidou Center, a space where art and culture seem owned by the public, and The Musee d’Orsay, housed in a former railway station that could be considered a piece of art itself. If you can’t imagine all this, then think about food. How about visiting local bakeries, chocolatiers, patisseries, wineries, or coffee shops. Imagine 7 nights in Paris – ooh, la la.
