What Does a Stunning Place Like Italy Have to Do with a Greasy Bag of Potato Chips?

🇮🇹 When you think of Italy, what comes to mind? Is it the Leaning Tower of Pisa? Is it pizza in Naples with Italian buffalo milk mozzarella and fresh-picked basil? Visiting the Vatican or Colosseum in Rome?

🇮🇹 I bet what doesn’t come to mind is touring the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. Or hunting for truffles near Lucca. Or taking a cooking class in Siena making traditional Florence Ravioli (which is made with potatoes instead of flour). Or how about having dinner with a local Sicilian family?

🇮🇹 Just as Lays so aptly coined the slogan, “Bet you can’t eat just one.” I think a similar slogan should be applied to Italy. Italy, in my opinion, is an addictive country. Once you go for the first time you’ll want to go again and again. There are so many hidden gems like Fiesole, Vinci, and Orbetello that few people have ever heard of.

🇮🇹 With an Italian heritage, Claudette, along with her husband Joe, wanted to take an out-of-the-ordinary trip to Italy. They didn’t want to do what I call the “holy trinity” of Italy: Rome, Florence, and Venice. They wanted to see how Italians truly live. That’s when they reached out to me.

🇮🇹 In the video, you’ll see me chatting with Claudette and Joe as they reminisce on their trip to Italy.

🇮🇹 Here are some highlights of what you’ll see in the video. For quick reference time markers are listed after each bullet.

– Their thoughts on Italian drivers, pumping gas, and parking meters (3:13)

– Their unusual accommodations in Tuscany (3:50)

– Joe and Claudette’s optimistic view on losing their luggage and the surprising benefit they learned from this experience (8:47)

– What Claudette regretted ordering for dinner one night (hint: it looked like a square piece of plastic) (22:30)

🇮🇹 Once you get there you’ll see why I call Italy an addictive country and why I just can’t get enough of it.
