One of My Favorite Stories

➡️ This is another one of my favorite stories… There were six of us and we were leaving Rome to go to Sorrento down on the Amalfi Coast, and we’re very, very excited about this. Everyone’s having a grand time. We arrive by train in Naples and our driver takes us to Sorrento Hotel. We check in, go to the bar to have a glass of wine and one of the ladies realized that she has left all of her cash [which by the way was a lot of cash] in the Rome hotel safe.

➡️ What now? What do you do with that? So I called Carmin (my supplier), he gets on the phone with the Rome hotel manager who had two people open the safe, and courier the cashback to Sorrento. Thank goodness… we got through that one.

➡️ On the very same trip on the way back from Sorrento, we return to the Naples rail station, and a different woman realizes that her luggage was left in the Sorrento hotel lobby. It’s not in the car with the rest of our luggage! Apparently when all of our luggage had been moved from the lobby to the car hers had not.

➡️ Oh dear. Now what? CARMINE! So I called Carmine, again. He arranges for a driver to courier the luggage to our Florence hotel. Those were two costly experiences, but it is a good lesson to keep your eyes on your money and your luggage.
