We have known this for a while, but Belize is a rising star. With all of the natural allure of Costa Rica, it adds to the mix towering ancient pyramids, superb scuba diving and snorkeling (along the world's second-longest coral reef system), and a culture that's warm and welcoming.

Why I Love This Spot!

  • Belize is one of our favorite destinations because you get two vacations in one. In one week you can explore all of the jungle sites (Mayan ruins, cave exploration, rainforest creatures) then head to the coast for world class snorkeling and reef adventures. Travel is so easy from the United States... you can be in Belize by lunchtime and it's even in the same time zone.
