I\u2019ve designed a great trip for you. You are packed, you have your luggage, you have your passport, you have your money, you have your itinerary. But there is one thing that\u2019s not on that itinerary, and these are the bumps, the surprises, the things that are unexpected that can happen along the way on your trip. Things like a delayed flight or a canceled flight, you overslept, you missed a tour, your passport was lost, your phone was stolen, you missed a train\u2026The list can go on and on. There are 30 years of stories I can tell.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f But with a little planning and with a little foresight, you can avoid some of these things, and time can be your best friend or it can be your worst enemy. So if you buffer in enough time at the airport, or get to a tour ahead of time, you can avoid what could be disastrous.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Recently, I left my purse in the security bin and got all the way down, way into another terminal, and realized that I was missing something. Of course, I hurried back. I got the purse, and I went on my way. Had I not had the extra time buffered in, that mistake would have been just a horrible beginning to a trip.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f And then there was the woman that I met in Tuscany. She lost her luggage. We actually, she didn\u2019t lose her luggage, her luggage never showed up. She confessed, \u201cAnnie, this is the best thing that could\u2019ve happened.\u201d She said, \u201cI\u2019m completely relieved. I will only travel this way from now on. I have no burden of clothes, of shoes, of what to wear, what to carry.\u201d She said, \u201cIt was such a relief, this is the way I\u2019m going to travel in the future.\u201d And she had a big smile on her face.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f On the same trip, I\u2019m at the airline counter checking in to come home, and the ticket agent at the counter asked the gentleman next to me, \u201cSo you\u2019ve spent two weeks in Italy, how was it?\u201d And he grumbled, \u201cWell, there\u2019s an awful lot of walking.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>\u27a1\ufe0f Now there are two stories, two perspectives.
