Every time I\u2019ve travelled to Paris\u00a0I\u2019ve gotten around the city quite nicely by using the metro. I understand it and it works quite well.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/freedomtoursllc.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/Paris-bus-stop-sign.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Jennifer\u00a0(our very capable and lovable Paris guide)\u00a0suggested that I might prefer taking the bus instead. Her point was that from the bus you can see Paris and\u00a0from the metro of course you are underground. She said \u201cwhat a wonderful way to see Paris, by bus. \u00a0Still, getting my Paris legs I was reluctant. But today I ventured out and decided to take her advice. I had taken note of the bus stop near the apartment\u00a0 \u00a0Bus number 92, 82, 80, 27, and 28 would all get me home (eventually). Now to see where these buses go.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>My tip\u2013if you look closely you will notice that the bus lets you know:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>when the next bus is arriving<\/li>\r\n<li>what stop you are right now\u2013Nation: Place des Antilles, for example<\/li>\r\n<li>what direction to are going \u2014 you will need to know the \u201cend of the line\u201d so you have the correct direction. \u00a0You will see this written just below the bus number. \u00a0If you want to\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The other advantage to the bus is that you are not walking up and down many flights of steps. \u00a0The bus is by far the best and easiest way to see and get around Paris.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is my 5th in the Paris Travel Series.
