When Regent Seven Seas unveiled its first look at 750-passenger Seven Seas Explorer\u2014 an all-new ship that will debut in summer 2016 \u2013 it\u2019s understandable why the focus went to its luxurious 3,875 square feet Regent Suite and its price tag. Approximately $5000 per person, per day is what it takes to get this ultra luxurious first for a cruise ship, but you\u2019ll have to wait\u2026every sailing announced to date is already sold out<\/a> <\/strong>. With the first-ever private spa at sea \u2014 the suite is twice as large as the average American house \u2013 the cabin costs just over $100,000 for a 10-night Mediterranean cruise; that\u2019s a breathtaking splurge for just about everyone (certainly everyone we know).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suite\u2019s lovely, no doubt about it. The two-bedroom spread comes with a custom-made Steinway piano, unlimited spa treatments), a sunroom out on the forward deck boasting 270 degree view and a balcony stretching across three sides of the ship. Regent has also revealed plans for three specialty restaurants on the Seven Seas Explorer that will include the line\u2019s signature steakhouse, Prime 7. The restaurant will feature a new decor highlighted by dark purple hues, silver accents and plush leather seating, reminiscent of a London private member club. Also returning to Seven Seas Explorer will be Compass Rose, the line\u2019s signature main dining room. It also will have a new, more airy look highlighted by a cascading aqua-blue chandelier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regent also revealed plans for a two-tiered, 694-seat theater on the ship and an opulent Observation Lounge that evokes the 1920s. Just off the ship\u2019s atrium lobby, the Explorer Lounge will offer a country club vibe with rich mahogany wood columns, comfortable leather chairs, deep blue fabrics and sumptuous flooring, the line says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement also included plans for the Seven Seas Explorer\u2019s maiden voyage, which will be a 14-night sailing from Monte Carlo to Venice kicking off on July 20, 2016. The ship will remain in Europe for its inaugural season, sailing 11 voyages that crisscross the Mediterranean, visiting such destinations as Barcelona, Ibiza, St. Tropez, Alexandria (Egypt), Venice, Istanbul,and Jerusalem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
